Workshop: Optimization, Control and AI – Building Bridges
We are excited to announce a one-day workshop taking place on November 23, 2025, bringing together leading researchers at the intersection of mathematics and artificial intelligence.
This event will explore how mathematics can help us understand, analyze, and improve AI systems — and how AI can serve as a powerful tool for mathematical discovery. Participants can expect ~10 invited lectures complemented by discussions, Q&A, and opportunities for exchange of ideas.
Themes & Scope
• Mathematical foundations of machine learning and deep learning
• Optimization for large-scale learning
• Probabilistic, statistical, and information-theoretic approaches
• Applications of AI in mathematical discovery and problem-solving
